Enhancements/Fixes:
- Updates the firmware to VA5106F0 to detect a second device and

HOW TO USE:
1. Obtain one (1) formatted 1.44-MB diskette.
2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to
insert a formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.
4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.
5. The Compaq Firmware Update diskette is a self-booting diskette. Place the
diskette into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your
system.
6. At the command prompt type UPDATE.
7. Follow the on screen instructions.
NOTE: This update only works when booted from a DOS diskette.
It will not work when run from a protected mode DOS prompt.
The program will terminate upon completion of update. A complete power cycle
will be required for the update to be in effect. Remove your disk and
power cycle your system. If the errors persist after the firmware upgrade, follow
the IM message instruction and contact Compaq technical support.
